A robotic cockroach crossbreed between a hedgehog and developed by Otherlab, technology companies from San Francisco, United States. The robot is unique because it can be developed and dikempeskan like a balloon and can be ridden.
The robot was named Ant Roach, an alloy of said anteater (porcupine) and cockroach (Cockroach). Ant Roach had a robot as possible like a dream, reminiscent of similar children's toy doll that could be developed with a blow.
When inflated, Ant, Roach would look like insects, have six legs and an "antenna" long in the front. To ride it, users can use the back space between the two legs.
Ant, Roach is a robot that is quite mild. As described in the article IEEE.org, Tuesday (22/11/2011), weighs only 31 pounds. However, this robot can transport loads up to 454 pounds. This robot can also be easily taken to any of the conditions by making it flat first.
To move, the robot is designed to have small pockets that will contract so blown. With this system, simply by inflating, the robot can be used for walking, running and even swimming. Cool, right?
So, what's the point of this robot? Ant, Roach can be used to remove a particular item. Forelegs alone can be used to lift a heavy burden. The design can be more effective because lenbih dikempeskan easily repaired when damaged and is claimed to be safer to use.
